CHAPTER HISTORY
When our Spearhead came to the University of Kentucky in Fall 2018, she had a desire to start an Asian-Interest Sorority to create a space for women to connect and support each other on campus. In Spring 2019, with the support of our UK FSL Advisor, Adam Bantz, she started contacting students that might be interested in creating unity in the Asian community on campus. She also received support from founders of two other Multicultural Greek organizations on campus, Ruth González Jiménez and Loretta Stafford.
In Fall 2019, Asians Changing Expectations (ACE) Interest Group was formed. The members of this group sought to create a safe space for Asian women to thrive on campus. The group struggled to gain traction during the first few semesters, due to the small Asian population at the university. However, the group persisted and continued with great dedication to create a home on campus to support women and advocate Asian awareness.
They chose Delta Phi Lambda, because they felt the Sorority’s Virtues best aligned with those of the group. Similar to the adversity and resistance that Delta Phi Lambda was confronted with, they had a lot of hard work to do to spread Asian culture in a predominantly White institution.
They worked closely with Victoria “ULTRA” Vole and Kristina “XEIRΛ” Nguyen to bring the First Asian-Interest Sorority to Kentucky. Many dedicated Sisters helped them along the way.
On November 7, 2021, The Noble Nine, Angela Tseng, Julie Kim, Abby Lai, Savannah Fisher, Monynich Kiem, Angelina Kue, Anna Luu, Mimi Bouakham, and Riley Bryson chartered the first and only Asian-Interest Sorority at the University of Kentucky and in the state of Kentucky.

Throughout our journey, our members have developed a community for women to thrive and spread our unique Asian heritage. The guidance of our FSL Advisors, and the support of the Sisters, has allowed us to join this Everlasting Sisterhood®.
We will continue to empower women and advocate Asian awareness as our Chapter grows and flourishes.
Let Our Light Shine Forth.
United Greek Council
At the University of Kentucky, our governing council is the United Greek Council (UGC). It houses special-interest and culturally based fraternities and sororities and is the fastest growing council at the University of Kentucky.

The mission of UGC is to support a diverse community by creating a culture of respect, inclusivity and empowerment for its organizations.
